After a long day in the kitchen, our very first batch of handcrafted chicken bratwurst is ready! 🌭🐔
Made from our pasture-raised Freedom Ranger chickens right here at Rustic Roots Heritage Homestead, these brats are seasoned, stuffed, and prepared by hand on our farm. No shortcuts, no mystery ingredients—just real food from chickens raised the way nature intended.
There is something incredibly satisfying about taking a product from pasture to package and knowing exactly how it was raised every step of the way.
We'll have these available tomorrow at the Watauga County Farmers Market, along with our pasture-raised chicken and other farm favorites. We can't wait for you to try them!

It is a Monumental day! For the first time ever, there are animals on the hill!!!!! There is a cleared hill, with grass, and the chickens are on it!!! We will use the chickens regeneratively this year to establish pasture for sheep next year! This makes my heart so happy!!!
