Across cultures and generations, women have carried traditions, led communities, built businesses, raised families, and fought for opportunities that many of us benefit from today. Their courage has shaped the world we live in.

But today is not only about celebrating how far we’ve come. It is also a reminder that progress continues when women are given the space, respect, and opportunity to lead, create, and thrive.

The Mexican Revolution is one of the most complex social, political and economic disruptions in history. It was a fight for freedom, for land reform, labor rights and greater social equality. This extremely violent conflict laid the foundation for modern Mexico, and although it didn’t end up fully addressing the issues of inequality and social justice, we have great admiration for the women who despite facing extraordinary hardship, they embraced this struggle with courage, seeking a better future for their families. Chingonas!
