It is with very sad hearts that we let you know we do not have enough berries to continue picking. We've heard it was a strange and hard year for strawberries for many farmers in the area. Please trust me when I say, we are sorry to not be able to provide organic berries for you and your family. My 12 year old had been researching the cost of getting a pony, equipment, and winter hay -with high hopes of using all her strawberry picking money to put toward this dream. We are prepping the field for next year and continuing to add more berries. In the mean time, we are leaning into what the Father has to teach us in Scripture about toiling the land, seeds, planting, pruning, and harvesting.
We did plant some ever-bearing varieties so there is a possibility that we have some strawberries later in the summer. We have also added some extra crops that my kids are hoping to harvest and sell- peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe, and garlic. We will also have the potential for grass-fed lamb and beef this winter.
