Community Clothes Cycle A joyful recycling initiative that supports the wellbeing of our local community and in-patients currently on our acute mental health wards.

Hey everyone 👋

Next week we have our first Pop Up Shop experience for patients at the Linden and Crystal Centres in Chelmsford. We are also providing clothes now at The Lakes in Colchester and we are often getting clothing requests.

With thanks to a few wonderful supporters, we have been able to reset this space into something new! These baskets used to belong to Astara Dance & Theatre School for props, costumes and stationary but today they were transformed into clothes storage for the lovely patients at the Linden and Crystal Centres.

We are getting organised 💪
Thanks to your donations of clothes we have stocked up the men's ward at the Linden Centre with tons of new items for those in need. Plenty of warm hoodies and jumpers for this cold weather. Also grateful for the storage space at the hospital - which isn't always easy to come by!

Things we are low on:

☆ GOOD CONDITION SOCKS
☆ JOGGING BOTTOMS

When we set up for a Clothes Cycle event on the wards, it does bring excitement to the patients. Often they want to come on in before we are finished setting out the clothes. We love making people feel good and telling patients that these are free donations! Almost always they say "how much is this one?" 😃
