Make this super easy moist fluffy vegan chocolate cake from basic ingredients:
- White flour 3/4 cup (200 G)
- Cacao powder 1/4 cup (30 G)
- Sugar less than 1/2 cup (80 G)
- Baking powder 1 tsp (1 sachet de 7 g)
- Sugared vanilla 1 tsp (1 sachet de 7 G)
- Coffee 1/2 tsp (1/2 c.à.c.)
- Water 2/3 cup (160 ml)
- Oil unflavoured 1/4 cup (60 ml)
- OPTIONAL: vegan chocolate spread and sprinkles.
Instruction: Preheat the oven at 180°C/ 365 F. Sift the dry ingredient in a alrge bowl then mix. Add water, oil and sugar and combine using a spatula. Pour the batter into a battered and floured cake pan. Spread some vegan chocolate spread (optional). Bake for 45 min (a knife should come out dry). Allow to cool down then sread more vegan chocolate spread and chocolate sprinkle. Enjoy !
Préparez facilement ce gâteau au chocolat végétal moelleux et à partir d'ingrédients basiques:
- Farine blanche 3/4 d'une tasse (200 G)
- Poudre de cacao 1/4 d'une tasse (30 G)
- Sucre moins d'une 1/2 tasse (80 G)
- Levure chimique 1 cuillère à café (1 sachet de 7 g)
- Vanille sucrée 1 cuillère à café (1 sachet de 7 G)
- Café 1/2 cuillère à café (1/2 c.à.c.)
- Eau 2/3 d'une tasse (160 ml)
- Huile 1/4 d'une tasse (60 ml)
- OPTIONNEL : pâte à tartiner et pépites de chocolat végétales.
Préparation: Préchauffez le four à 180°C. Tamisez les ingrédients sec dans un grand bol puis mélangez. Ajoutez l'eau, l'huile et le sucre et mélangez avec une spatule jusqu'à obtenire une pâte homogène. Versez la pâte dans un moule à cake beurré et fariné et étalez un peu de pâte à tartiner chocolat végétale (facultatif). Enfournez pour 45 min (un couteau doit ressortir sec). Laissez refroidir, puis étalez davantage de pâte à tartiner chocolat végétale et du sprinkle chocolat. Bon appétit !

Vitamins are either water soluble, or fat soluble. I'll explain the difference between water and fat soluble in a different post.
Although the micronutrients are not a source of energy, they're mandatory for the body to function properly. So make sure to consume a sufficient and varied amount of fruits, veggies, grains and seeds daily ! Check recipes below ⤵️

Hummus is a staple in my vegan kitchen and one of my favourite dishes. It's delicious, high in protein, fibres and healthy fat.
Although it's available as takeout, I prefer to make my own (I make hummus at least once a week) Super easy to make, all you need is : cooked chickpeas, tahini and lemon juice.

Did you know that our human body cannot naturally produce calcium ?
After proteins, calcium is the second most argued concern about the vegan diet. It is a legit concern, vegans are at higher risk of a calcium deficiency if their diet si not maintained properly. Netherless, low calcium doesn't only concern vegans, non vegans are at risk as well.
You can easily get all the calcium you need from a vegan diet. The trick is to consume small doses throughout the day (the smaller the dose, the better the absorption). Here's some high calcium vegan source to include in your everyday diet.

The hype around proteins have been misleading many of us into believing a vegan diet isn't an enough source of it. Which is not true at all. All foods contain proteins, from rice to peas, nuts, grains and fruits. Eating enough and varied is the key to getting enough nutriments (including proteins). Do not concern your self with how much proteins you're eating, rather watch your intake of iron, vitamin D, calcium, zinc, iodine, magnesium and vitamin B12. These are the most neglected nutrients and most common deficiencies.

📣 Iron deficiency is common amongst vegan and non vegan dieter. Because of menstruation, pregnancy and childbirth, women are at a greater risk of iron deficiency than men. How to prevent it:
- eat sufficient amount of iron and vitamin C rich food 🥬🥔🍊🍋🥗
- limit your intake of dairy produce, tea and coffee as they do interfere with iron absorption 🚫☕🫖🍷🧈🥛🧀
- make sure your Vitamin B12 intake is on point
If you're dealing with an iron deficiency, you need to find the cause as it could be a symptom of a serious disease. Pleas check with your health professionnel. A blood test 🩸is the only way to diagnose an iron deficiency.
