Hello everyone, and wishing you all a joyful day!

Today I absolutely have to share a recipe with you that came together here over the past few days simply from whatever we had on hand — and we have all been absolutely blown away by it.

It’s a fresh herb and tomato spread, and here’s how to make it:

• 1–2 handfuls of cherry tomatoes
• 1 handful of fresh basil
• 1 handful of fresh parsley
• a little rosemary
• 2–3 large cloves of garlic
• 100 ml sunflower oil (if you have olive oil, I’d definitely use that instead)
• a handful of sunflower seeds
• a little salt
• a little sugar or honey
• a little black pepper

Simply put everything into a bowl or container and blend until you have a smooth, creamy consistency.

Guys, this spread is SO delicious — it’s almost gone before it’s even finished! 😁❤️

Sending you heartfelt greetings and bright toughts to you all!

Since I have felt so blessed by our volunteer plants this late spring, I've decided to share some of them with you. Rhese are mostly plants that I didn't pay much attention to when I first started gardening but which have gained a permanent spot in my gardeners-heart by their resilient determination to grow (and feed us).

🌹Rosey ideas part 8🌹

Last but not least, a simple but wonderful idea: Cold-steeped rose water. Which can be a luxorious and delicious drink or a wonderful skin and hair care product. ✨️😍

Simply pluck a few handfuls your most fragrant fresh rose petals off the blooms and put them into a jar with cold water, close the lid and let is sit in a cool dark space for a day or two and you'll have an absolutely wonderful rose flavored water. To store it, strain out the petals and fill your rose-water into a clean bottle, close it and store in the fridge. Since this doesn't store for too long , I recommend to not make too much at once but rather make a new batch whenever you need it. (I have no usual fridge so I can't tell you exactly how long it'll keep mine lasts for around a week in a cool place).

I love this rose infused water as a refreshing drink, for my skin and for my hair. You can also fill it into a spray bottle and use it to spray your face on hot days as a luxurious, natural way of resfreshing yourself.😍

🌹Rosey ideas part 7🌹

Rose-bathsalt, I debated whether or not this one deserves it's own post, but since I only got turned on to this idea last year and still adore it, I decided to share it here sperately. 🩷

Since I gave the salt away as a gift and haven't made more yet, I haven't got a picture of the final product, but is looks like rocky salt mixed with beautiful, dried rose petals. 😁❤️
If you want the salt to look even more rosey, you can use Himalayan salt. Otherwise, any kind of sea-salt or other will do as well.

To make the bathsalt, mix about 500g of salt with 2 to 3 handful of your fragrant, dried rosepetals, add around 15 drops of essential rose or rose-geranium oil and if you've made your own rose-infused oil, you can add 3 tablespoons of this too to make the salt even more nurturing for your skin.

Mix all the ingredients up well and fill it in nice jars to store and give as gifts - and most important: Take time to enjoy in a steaming bath later. ✨️

🌹Extra tipp:

A beautiful little extra for gifts is, if you leave a little headspace at the top of your jars and place a whole, dried rosebloom on top before closing the lid.

🌹 Rosey Ideas – Part 6 🌹

Rose-Infused Oil - I absolutely love this one. It gives me a feeling of luxury and makes self-care so much more enjoyable. ✨🩷✨

The beautiful thing about it is that you get a double benefit: not only do you enjoy the wonderful anti-inflammatory, calming, and moisturizing properties of rose petals, but you also benefit from the qualities of your chosen carrier oil. If you'd like a nicely rose-scented result, I recommend almond oil or another high-quality, mild-smelling oil.

There are two ways to make rose-infused oil: using fresh, fragrant rose petals or dried petals.

Dried petals are the easier and more shelf stable option because there's less risk of spoilage or mold with lower moisture content. However, fresh petals contain all the goodness the rose has to offer.

For the dried-petal version, fill a jar generously with petals and slowly pour in enough oil to completely cover them. I also recommend blending the petals into the oil to break them down and help release more of their essence into the carrier oil.

Seal the jar with a lid and place it somewhere warm for about two weeks, giving it a gentle shake every now and then.

When it's ready, strain the oil through a sieve lined with cheesecloth or a similar fine cloth. Be sure to squeeze out the last precious drops by hand.

For the fresh-petal version, fill your jar with petals and cover them completely with oil. Place the jar in the warmest spot you can find, and once or twice a day gently push any floating petals back under the surface of the oil to help prevent mold.

I've only made it this way twice so far, but I let it infuse for 5–6 days and have been very happy with the results.

Once it's ready, strain it the same way as the dried-petal version to capture all that lovely goodness.

What I especially love about rose-infused oil is how versatile it is. You can use it on its own or as an ingredient in all kinds of beautiful handmade products, such as soaps, lotions, creams, salves, and balms. 😍

Give it a try and let me know if it inspires you to get creative with your own little rosy treasures. 🥰✨🌹
