Caffi Cristobal "judgement of tea should be made in the mouth." Lu Yu The Classic of Tea Caffi Cristobal is a wholesaler of teas and tisanes based in Wales.

Our objective is not only to import and supply teas to cafes, bistros, restaurants, hotels and individuals but to support the development of a vibrant, contemporary tea culture in this part of the world. Over the last five years through training courses and tastings we have encouraged local businesses to move beyond Tea Bags onto Generic and now Single Estate teas. The response has been very posit

ive both from clients and their customers so much so that in 2012 we have made our first step into the Gourmet market. We were very encouraged when the two Chinese teas we entered for the Great Taste Awards both won Triple Gold and inclusion in the “50 Best Food and Beverages 2012.”

On Chinese New Year’s day 2012-the beginning of the year of the Dragon- twenty of Caffi Cristobal’s clients formed Cilydd (see section Cilydd for more details) a not for profit company offering support to independent businesses selling teas and coffees. In March 2012 Cilydd won the Conwy Rural Business Innovation Award.
