🇫🇷 Oeufs en Meurette 🍷🥚
Poached eggs served in a red wine and bacon sauce — a Burgundian specialty, deep and comforting.

Ingredients
4 eggs
300 ml red wine (Burgundy or Pinot Noir)
100 ml beef or veal stock
100 g bacon or lardons
1 shallot (chopped)
1 garlic clove (minced)
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
Salt and pepper
Croutons (optional, for serving)

Instructions
1️⃣ In a pan, cook bacon until crisp. Remove and reserve.
2️⃣ In the same pan, sauté shallot and garlic in butter. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute.
3️⃣ Add red wine and stock. Simmer for 20 minutes until slightly thickened.
4️⃣ Poach the eggs separately in simmering water with a splash of vinegar for 3–4 minutes.
5️⃣ Place poached eggs in bowls, spoon over wine sauce, and top with bacon and croutons.

🇫🇷 Aligot (Cheesy Mashed Potatoes) 🥔🧀
A creamy, stretchy potato dish loaded with melted cheese!

Ingredients:
500g potatoes, peeled and cubed
200g Tomme cheese (or mozzarella)
100ml heavy cream
50g butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt & pepper

Instructions:
Boil potatoes until soft, then mash them.
Stir in butter, cream, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Gradually mix in shredded cheese until smooth and stretchy.
Serve hot and enjoy the cheesy goodness!

Hachis Parmentier Recipe 🇫🇷 A classic French comfort dish of layered meat and mashed potatoes, baked to perfection.

Ingredients:
• 1/2 pound ground beef
• 1 cup mashed potatoes
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
• 1/2 cup grated cheese (e.g., Gruyère or Parmesan)
• Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onion until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
4. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly in a baking dish.
5. Layer the mashed potatoes on top, smoothing them out with a spoon.
6. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the potatoes.
