Coffee: An afterthought? - A challenge we at Port took head on.

Port brew aims to produce quality Cold Brew Coffee for consumers in the Cebu Metropolitan area, through a service catered to ensuring that our coffee - maintains it’s worth after delivery, and with every single cup. From the conception of our name, aesthetic theme and our mission to provide coffee as a service - we hope to achieve our prime directive - to provide local Cebuanos with an accessible and affordable alternative to the current market standard - that packs a real satisfying punch - which you will (if you try our brew) come to respect. #respectthisbrew

The initial trials of production for Port Brew were led by humble intentions -

I personally needed something that I could drink, enjoy and more importantly - aid me in work and study.

And so with that in mind, I pushed on, and from this steady march to finding a solution, and having invested over a year of trial and error with different beans, temps, solutions, etc. - a product was born. Port Brew Coffee.

“Coffee is an afterthought” - A perception we heard often, and since then, challenged.

In the initial weeks of soft service- we quickly realized that people were willing to perceive coffee as a forethought, rather than an afterthought. And upon realizing this, we have come to believe that the perception “coffee as an afterthought” - could indeed be reversed, or at the very least bargained with - given that the necessary criteria is met.

-A criteria we boiled down to three very important qualities.

Qualities that we have since then, made our mission to maintain:

1.Potency - We commonly heard feedback that it boosted customer productivity, while delivering a clean, steady supply of energy that even previous non-coffee drinkers were able to enjoy. Palpitation free - heartburn free.

2.Longevity - We decided to focus on making the most out of our coffee by first, ensuring that they can be stored for longer with our amber bottles, and second - through a fresh-on-delivery service standard. No stock, no sour aftertaste.

And finally...

3.Flavor - Because it was delivered fresh each time - the fragrance and depth of true cold brew coffee kept our initial customers coming for more.

-In short: Port Brew is more than just a product. If our approach had not evolved from learning from our lengthy trials, and sales - And more so, had we not from this understanding, constructed the service we are working to provide Cebu in the near future ; then perhaps our early patron’s interests, and quite literally - the coffee WE made, would have altogether, soured.

But here we are now. And here is something we can say with utmost confidence.

Those who have tried our coffee, come back.. When they want it.. And most especially - when they NEED it.
