It’s bittersweet…the end of the growing season has come and we are equal parts sad, grateful, exhausted, excited for next year, and focused on finishing up all the fall/winter prep. There is so much to do, but a different sense of urgency than when the flowers are blooming and keeping up with our orders and harvesting. Now we race the clock to get the field torn down, the hoop houses flipped, fall beds laid and planted, dahlias dug/washed/packed/divided, and lots of outdoor projects that have to be done before the ground freezes.
This year we harvested more flowers than we ever thought possible. We’ve made some new connections and so many new regular faces at the markets. Somehow, we did this all while caring for my sweet grandpa. It’s such an honor to be able to continue to tend to his land and grow beautiful things that bring so much joy to so many. He was so proud of us for working so hard doing what we love and we will continue to honor him by doing just that. His favorite thing was to make people smile, so we will continue to bring a little Ronnie to every bouquet.✨
We cannot thank you all enough for your continued support of our small family business. Locally grown flowers are just in a totally different ballgame. The love and care that goes into every bouquet, the incredible varieties and textures, the curated designs using these magical bits and bobs…they are so special.
As we head into the off season, there will still be lots of opportunities to give Bushel & Peck flowers:
💐 Our flower subscriptions for 2027 will go LIVE next Tuesday the 27th at 7:00pm (previous subscribers get to sign up a day early, keep an eye out for that email!) These are our 6 week subscriptions that are perfect for gift giving! They are large seasonal bouquets delivered right to your door weekly! Deliveries will be in the Summer and Fall of 2027.
💐We will have lots of our colorful Evergreen wreaths full of our everlasting blooms grown right here on the farm!
💐We are working on a huge selection of our everlasting wreaths and some other projects that are also great for gifting or enjoying in your own home!
💐 Keep an eye out for some workshops! We can’t wait to finally offer these and connect with you all even during the cold months!
💐Our dahlia tubers will be available around the first of the year, which is perfect for the home gardener or flower lover.
💐We will have bouquet vouchers available again this year. So many people say that it’s one of their favorite gifts! They love coming to the market or stand to pick their bouquets❤️
💐Tulip bulbs are still available on our website and can be picked up or shipped! We will keep them open until we get ready to plant!
As I’ve said before, it’s never “just flowers.” It is so much more to us, our community, and all of you. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for following along with us. You all help us bring a little magic and whimsy to this crazy world, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We love you guys!❤️🙏❤️
