Renegade & Longton's aim is to revolutionise people's perception of sparkling wine! In 2011 Brendan created his own alcoholic sparkling elderflower 'champagne' (we can't call it that, otherwise we'll get in trouble with the lawyers and we can't afford to defend ourselves yet!) at home. Unfortunately, it was not possible to make the same product to scale. Therefore, after several years of experimen

ting and with the assistance of Richard, they were able to perfect their first non grape based sparkling wine, *cough* *cough* champagne.

From 1 January 2024, makers of English Sparkling Wine no longer have to use mushroom-shaped stoppers and foil covers on bottlenecks, giving producers the choice to opt for simpler packaging, thereby reducing both waste and costs.
