I thought it was time to take a minute and reintroduce myself, especially since I’ve had quite a few new followers over the last couple of weeks!
My name is Amanda Spence, and I’ve been married to my husband, John, for 22 years. Together we have two amazing boys who keep us busy and make us incredibly proud.
Jake is 16 years old and in Grade 10 at LCHS. He’s counting down the days until summer and stays busy playing U18 AAA baseball with the SunDevils, football for LCHS in the fall, and working part-time.
Parker is 18 years old (very soon to be 19! 🤦🏽♀️). He recently completed his first year of college and is now working full-time while preparing to start an apprenticeship in the fall. This summer, he’s living out a dream by coaching the U15 AA Twins right here in Lloydminster.
I’ve always loved cooking, and as my boys got older and spent less time at home, I found myself wondering what I was going to do with all my extra time. I’d talked about starting a food business for years, and one evening, after hearing me bring it up for probably the thousandth time, John simply said, “Try it! What’s the worst that could happen? You fill the freezer with meals?”
So that’s exactly what I did.
Five months later, here I am filling freezers, bellies, and hearts with homemade meals made from scratch and prepared with the same love and care I put into feeding my own family.
