A new spot to eat — and a big win for local students — has opened in Center Point.

Pirate Bistro, a student-run restaurant at Center Point High School, is now open to the public on select days, giving advanced culinary students real-world experience cooking and serving paying customers. The bistro operates out of a professional-grade kitchen that includes modern equipment and an indoor hydroponic garden where students grow herbs used in their dishes.

Reservations are available to both CPISD staff and the public on select dates, with limited seating in the Wardroom. Guests are encouraged to reserve by the monthly deadline, as seats fill quickly. Proceeds from the bistro go directly back into the culinary program, supporting students as they build skills and earn industry certifications.
