This May we're highlighting the Christiena Heritage Range Syrah from Van Loveren Family Wine as a part of our May Edition.

📌 Tasting notes

Nose: Black pepper, violets, smoked meat + ripe dark berries 🪻

Palate: Rich blackberry and plum flavours with spice, silky texture + savoury depth 🫐

Food Pairing: Lamb chops, venison or anything cooked over fire 🔥

You don't normally find wines with this much class that pair so beautifully with open flame.

Somewhere between “new year, new us” and “just one more glass,” it became May. 🍷

The year didn’t fly. It teleported.

One minute we were making organised plans. The next, the evenings turned chilly, the dog started snoring louder than the television, and we realised we may have accidentally ghosted on our monthly editions for a month... or four.

Still. We’ve missed you properly.

For May, we went back to a few producers we simply had to revisit. Think greatest drinkable hits.

Do we dare let people know there's a 2015 hiding in this curated 3-bottle case? I guess we have to.

This 'Steak Night' mixed case not only features 3 absolute gems but it's also currently on sale. Spotlighting the Springfield Estate 'The Work of Time' for its true devotion to the craft: this Bordeaux Blend features the classic varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Merlot + Petit Verdot.

These vines took 9 years to reach maturity (!!), the grapes fermented whole with native yeasts + left for 5 weeks on their skins. The wine was then barrel aged for 2 years followed by 4 years of bottle maturation.

Literally, the work of time.

At R214 per bottle this is more affordable than you could find anywhere else online or in-store.
