Where does your food come from and how was it grown?

Following the journey from farmer to market, our story continues at Organic Zone in Lakeside, where customers can choose from fresh, locally sourced produce supplied by farmers who are committed to organic and regenerative practices.

The store takes supporting small-scale farmers seriously, helping customers make informed choices about the food they take home by stocking produce from PGS certified farms. The PGS label offers another layer of connection and trust and represents the participatory process in which farmers, retailers and consumers can engage with organic standards.

For Andrew, Organic Zone’s Fresh Manager, “local sourcing is extremely important”. It helps grow the community around the store and creates a stronger connection between customers and the farmers producing their food. As more people seek out food that is clean, high-quality and ethically sourced, this kind of connection matters more than ever.
