The trail up Lion’s Head winds through the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom - the smallest of the world’s six floral kingdoms, yet one of the richest in biodiversity!

It covers less than 0.5% of Africa but is home to over 9,000 plant species, with nearly 70% found nowhere else on Earth.

As you hike, you’re surrounded by fynbos, a unique vegetation that includes proteas, ericas, and restios. These remarkable plants have adapted to thrive in nutrient-poor soils, strong winds, and even periodic wildfires.

The hike is more than just incredible views - it’s a journey through one of the planet’s most extraordinary natural treasures🌼

Stellenbosch delivered in every way. The Queen Stage from Elgin to Stellenbosch brought out the best - and the best results for my teams💪🏽

The ladies truly became queens, claiming podium finishes on Stages 5 & 6👏👏👏 Strength, grit, and pure determination on full display, wow!

A beautiful weekend spent at Cultivar Boutique Hotel - a true wine lover’s dream in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

And today…the finish line. After 8 days. Countless climbs. Unforgiving terrain. The toughest mountain bike race in the world - Cape Epic - conquered.

Smiles and unforgettable memories. This is what it’s all about 😊🇮🇱🇿🇦🚴‍♀️🔥🍷
