Your gut is home to trillions of bacteria, and they have standards. So do we.

That's why Rawbiotics earned a spot on our shelves.

Quick pre and pro refresher:
🦠 Probiotics are live, beneficial bacteria.
🥬 Prebiotics are the plant fibres those bacteria feed on.

Together they support a balanced, diverse microbiome, and that diversity is the real goal.

Here's why we stock Rawbiotics:
✅ Live and fermented, not freeze-dried. It's a liquid you simply pour.
✅ 12 species of beneficial microbes in every bottle, from Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium to Bacillus subtilis and a beneficial yeast.
✅ Herbal extracts go into the ferment itself, so every bottle is more than just bacteria.
✅ Made in South Africa.
✅ Vegan, dairy free, gluten free and Halaal certified.
✅ Very low in sugar. The brand's lab testing shows under 0.1g per 100ml.

One probiotic base, four bottles, each with its own herbs:

🌼 Daily Balance: everyday gut upkeep, with chamomile, rose hip and elderberry
🌿 Gut Correct: for a sensitive gut, with slippery elm, lemon balm and peppermint
🧒 Kids Balance: made for little ones, with chamomile, lemon balm and elderberry
🛡️ Defence: extra immune support, with ginger, turmeric, elderberry and cinnamon

How to take it: 30ml a day for adults, any time, with or without food. Stir it into a smoothie, juice or your oats. If your gut is on the sensitive side, start with a smaller amount and build up slowly. Keep it at room temperature and don't shake the bottle.

Not sure which bottle suits you? Come and chat to us in store and we'll help you pick.

That "gut health" yogurt might be mostly dessert.

The tub says probiotic, but flip it over. Many flavoured yogurts carry a lot of added sugar, and sugar feeds the bacteria you don't want just as happily as the ones you do. A live culture also only helps if enough of it survives your stomach acid to actually reach your gut. A claim on the packaging isn't the same thing as gut health.
Real fermented food does the job better: kraut, kefir and plain yogurt, made properly, with nothing added.
And this Saturday you can learn to make your own.

When was the last time you actually listened to your gut? 👀

Not Googled your symptoms at midnight. Not pushed through the bloating, the afternoon crash, the "wired but tired" feeling. Actually listened.

This Saturday, I'm opening the doors of Mesaw Studio for one afternoon that's just for you. Not another thing to organise around everyone else. Three hours to slow down, get curious, and go home with something real.

🔬 SCAN. A personal gut-focused bio scan, so you can see what's going on inside.
🥬 FERMENT. A hands-on sauerkraut workshop. You'll make your own jar and take it home.
🌿 FLOW. Gentle movement and breathwork (done right at your chair, no yoga experience needed) to support your body's natural cleansing.

We'll tie it all together with a talk on how the science and the ritual work hand in hand. You'll also leave with a recipe card, a shot of fire tonic, and a goodie bag. Snacks, tea and coffee are on us.

📅 Saturday, 10 October
⏰ 14:00 to 17:00
📍 Mesaw Studio, Wierdapark, Centurion
💛 R555 all inclusive

Spaces are intimate and filling up, so if your gut has been trying to tell you something, this is your sign.

Hot take: your detox tea has never detoxed anything. 🍵

That "lighter" feeling the next morning isn't toxins leaving your body. It's a laxative and a bit of dehydration, dressed up in wellness marketing.

Here's what's actually going on:
Your liver and kidneys are already running a 24/7 detox system, no tea required. And "detox" isn't a medical term when it's printed on a tea box. It's a word someone in marketing chose because it sells.
If you want to support the process your body is already running, it looks a lot less glamorous.

Think ginger, cayenne pepper, proper sleep, and other real food and lifestyle changes you can actually keep up.

If a product needs to promise a detox, that's usually the tell that it isn't doing one.

Come in and we'll help you support your liver and kidneys properly, no gimmicks required.

New on our shelves, and this one's not just another pretty tea bag.

Good Life Organic has landed at Organic Choice, and the standout is their Stress Less Tea, a blend of four adaptogens: ashwagandha, shatavari, tulsi and liquorice root, rounded out with cinnamon bark.

Quick adaptogen 101, because the word gets thrown around a lot:
🫖Adaptogens don't sedate you. They help your body regulate its own stress response, rather than just numbing it.
🫖Ashwagandha and shatavari are traditional go-tos for adrenal support and fatigue.
🫖Tulsi, also known as holy basil, has been used for centuries to help buffer the effects of stress. Liquorice root supports the adrenals and gives the blend natural sweetness.
🫖And the cinnamon bark isn't just there for flavour, it rounds the whole thing out.

The full range now in store:
🍵 Stress Less Tea (four adaptogens) — 50g
🍵 Organic Tulsi — 20g
🍵 Organic Peppermint — 30g
🍵 Organic Chamomile — 30g

🫖Brewing tip: simmer, don't steep. Give it 15 minutes on the stove for full extraction.

Come find your new favourite on our shelves.

Unpopular opinion: your multivitamin might just be an expensive way to p*e neon yellow. 💊

Most synthetic multivitamins are made in a lab to chemically resemble real nutrients, not to actually behave like them once they're in your body. Your body doesn't always recognise them the same way, so absorption ends up far lower than the label promises.

And here's the part nobody puts on the bottle: your body can only use so much at once. Anything it can't use, especially water-soluble vitamins like B's and C, gets flushed out within hours. That's the real story behind "expensive urine."

Isolated, lab-made nutrients also skip the cofactors that real food naturally comes with, the exact things your body needs alongside a nutrient to actually absorb and use it. That's why food-state and whole-food-based supplements exist: they're built to be recognised and used, not just swallowed and passed through.

A vitamin only works if your body can absorb it. Otherwise, it's just a pricey trip to the toilet.
Come in and let us help you find a supplement your body can actually use.
