is my baby, my happy place for several years now. I love what I do. I love creating delicious dishes, photographing them concisely and then presenting them to you in an aesthetic package, for you to keep or share respectfully and with due credit. Putting recipes together is not a unique concept but developing them until perfect is what Just Plated is about.

As a content creator, hours of hard work, rigourous recipe-testing and perfecting goes into every post before it is shared. My passion for recipe development is evident in my feed. I share with you FREELY, so that you may be motivated and inspired to be a confident cook, to present simple, delicious meals on your very own tables. When this is compromised, it upsets and saddens me.

In recent days it has been brought to my attention that my recipes are being used and sold without my permission within "healthy" meal plans. And it is you, the follower, who is being duped into PAYING for these freely shared recipes. How sad πŸ˜”... I find it appalling that people would give up their integrity in exchange for fame and fortune, riding on the work of others, growing their businesses and furthering their interests with blatant disregard for the intellectual property of others. Whatever happened to originality??

How about making your own name, branding yourself authentically, coming up with your own content and growing organically? Taking recipes off pages in social media, watermarking them as your own and then selling them is unacceptable.

If you identify plagiarism anywhere, I plead with you not to support it. Report it and call it out. Intellectual theft is just as wrong as any other kind.

As a Muslim, it is my right and my duty to speak out on injustice when i see it and to protect those who may fall victim to this type of fraud. As a blogger I reserve the right to speak freely on my own page.

I will continue to share happily with those who respect my page πŸ™ŒπŸΌ this is for your benefit.
Here's to many more authentic recipes πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Hey everyone, let's make 𝗒π—₯π—”π—‘π—šπ—˜ π—–π—›π—œπ—–π—žπ—˜π—‘. This dish is super easy and so flavourful! If you're a chicken lover (this uses fillets or tenders) and you like Asian flavours of sweet-sour, soy with a hint of chilli, then this is for you.

𝗒π—₯π—”π—‘π—šπ—˜ π—–π—›π—œπ—–π—žπ—˜π—‘

600g Chicken breast, cubed

1 egg, whisked
Salt to taste
Β½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp soy sauce
Β½ tsp bicarbonate of soda

ΒΌ cup corn flour (maizena)
β…“ cup flour
Water as needed to make a thick batter

For Sauce:
3 tbsp freshly squeezed juice of an orange

2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp rice vinegar or White Vinegar
3 tbsp soy sauce
Β½ tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp sriracha/chillie sauce
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
Salt to taste
1 tbsp orange zest
Β½ tbsp corn starch mixed with β…“ cup water

Extra:
Spring Onion greens for garnish
Oil for deep frying

Method:
1. Marinate the chicken with egg, salt, cornflour, flour, soy sauce, bicarb and pepper. Add water to this little by little to make the batter smooth. Batter should be to coat pieces, not thick nor runny.

2. Heat oil in a pan. When simmering, slowly drop the chicken pieces in and fry till golden brown. You can do this in batches so that the chicken crisps well all around, do not overcrowd the pan.

3. Drain chicken on papertowels and set aside.

4. In a large non-stick pan, add the sauce ingredients and mix together, then place the pan over low heat and simmer until combined and bubbly. Add the chicken pieces into the sauce and toss until all the pieces are coated well-coated.
Garnish with spring onion greens.
Serve while hot over jasmine/ basmati rice.

Finally got my hands on one of these and I have to say that is incredibly refreshing and a perfect (if not better) substitute for Coca Cola. Even the kids were impressed. I'm not a huge fan of fizzy drinks to begin with, so this is significant for me.

But...here's the thing. Stop supporting American brands that are complicit to gen0cide. There ARE alternatives and this is a great one πŸ‘ŒπŸ½
Support Palestinian initiatives, and support local brands, pop-ups and entrepreneurs. You CAN make a difference.

Zio and American brands don't NEED you.
πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ Palestine does

A shout out to pop-up. You made our morning πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
