This development took place over a six year period and resulted in a healthy, compelling and extremely affordable alternative to traditional butter in industrial and domestic baking and confectionary applications. ithout compromising taste, texture or delivery in the final baked product. Baking Butter is currently manufactured in a Woolworths accredited dairy manufacturing facility, and contains no GM components, Hydrogenated fats, artificial colourants or artificial preservatives. The Baking Butter is already being used extensively by many commercial bakers and was even subject to some early stage trials at Woolworths accredited bakeries all with excellent results. While the pricing of Baking Butter tracks that of butter, it is always at least 15% more cost effective than that of traditional butter on a product versus product basis.
· Baking Butter contains 50% less animal fats than traditional butter and as a result the overall Methane footprint of the Baking Butter is 50% that of pure butter.
· The vegetable oils utilized are from sustainable sources.
· Dairy-Best is a fully accredited member of the RSPO, and as such meets the full Palm Oil sustainability requirement of Woolworths.
· As pure butter is the major component of Baking Butter, the end product label could still claim the words “pure butter”.
