The heat is back on.
After a few years of silence, we are bringing back the Livingseeds Chilli Fest to the Livingseeds Farm in the Midvaal on 11 April.

For those that remember, we hosted the original SuperHot Chilli Eating Contest which ran from 2015 to 2020.

This year, it returns with a fresh take and a proper bite.

We have two challenges lined up. One for newbie Chilli Eaters and one for the seasoned professionals.

The First Burn Challenge is for those wanting to test the waters. It is not gentle, and we will stop short of the SuperHots, but this is a good place to start. Especially if you've ever wondered how you would do. Entry is R100 with R2500 for the winner.

The Dragon Slayer Challenge is where things get serious. If you think habaneros are sweets, come prove it. Entry is R200 with a massive R10 000 for the winner.

Bring the family. There will be food stalls, chilli vendors, fresh pods for sale, a beer and gin tent, plus plenty to keep the kids busy with face painting a jumping castle and an enjoyable day out on the farm.
