🌍 YOUTH MONTH COMMUNITY OUTREACH UPDATE 🌍

Today, Intellectual Afrika (Pty) Ltd, continued its Youth Day outreach by providing food and refreshments to vulnerable members of our community.

Although we had no sponsors or donations for this initiative, we believed that Youth Day should be marked by action, compassion, and service. With the resources available to us, we reached out to those in need and shared what we could.

Due to the cold and challenging weather conditions, we had to seek shelter near the IEC offices while conducting the outreach. Unfortunately, this prevented us from distributing the clothing we had prepared. However, the clothing distribution will continue in the coming days.

Youth Month does not end on 16 June. It is a time to restore hope, dignity, confidence, and purpose among our young people and communities. We want every young person to know that they have value, potential, and the ability to overcome life's challenges.

We are therefore calling upon churches, community organisations, businesses, and individuals to partner with us through donations of clothing, food, bread, blankets, toiletries, or any other form of assistance. Your contribution can help us reach more people and make a greater impact.

Together, let us build stronger communities and revive the spirit of our youth.

🌍 YOUTH DAY COMMUNITY GIVEAWAY APPEAL 🌍

As we commemorate Youth Day 2026, Intellectual Afrika (Pty) Ltd is calling upon churches, community organisations, businesses, and members of the public to join hands with us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people within Raymond Mhlaba Municipality.

Many young people in our communities face daily challenges that affect their confidence, dignity, and opportunities. Through our Youth Day Community Giveaway Initiative, we aim to provide clothing, food parcels, toiletries, and other essential support to vulnerable youth.

We kindly appeal for donations of:
👕 Clothing (new or gently used)
🍞 Food and groceries
🧴 Toiletries and hygiene products
📚 Educational materials and stationery
🤝 Financial support, transport assistance, or any other contribution

Liyabona Landu has been admitted to hospital 27 May 2026 due to body pains, unable to move her neck and her arm swelling following an alleged assault involving law enforcement officers in Raymond Mhlaba Municipality. We are deeply concerned about the incident and call for a fair, transparent, and independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding it.

PUBLIC STATEMENT

Intellectual Afrika Pty Ltd has been conducting fundraising initiatives to support our ongoing community development programmes, youth empowerment workshops, business formalisation support, CSD registration assistance, and skills development initiatives that we have previously carried out in Mdantsane, East London. We were also in the process of expanding and carrying out these initiatives within Raymond Mhlaba Municipality.

These community initiatives have been self-driven, with no financial or operational support received from government departments or organisations.

During a recent fundraising activity in Raymond Mhlaba Municipality, officials identifying themselves as law enforcement officers approached our team and requested a permit for the activity. At the time, we did not have the required permit and acknowledged the municipality’s concerns. We understood the requirement and were preparing to leave the area peacefully.

However, during the interaction and ensuing argument, our member, Liyabona Landu, was allegedly harassed and physically assaulted by the law enforcement officers present. This incident occurred in the municipality where Liyabona Landu was born and raised.

Intellectual Afrika Pty Ltd remains committed to peaceful community engagement, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship development, and lawful cooperation with municipal regulations. We believe that disputes involving community organisations and authorities should be handled professionally, respectfully, and without violence or intimidation.

We continue to call for accountability, transparency, and constructive engagement from institutions and authorities in supporting genuine grassroots initiatives aimed at combating unemployment, poverty, and social challenges within our communities.

Intellectual Afrika (Pty) Ltd is pleased to invite aspiring entrepreneurs, post-matric youth, and community members to attend its Master Class on Business Registration, SARS Compliance (including CSD Registration), and Funding Opportunities, taking place from 25 May 2026 to 27 May 2026.

The programme will provide practical guidance on:
