When you feel lost, the universe does slowly guide you to where you belong…
Our very first market in South Africa🇿🇦is finally complete!🙌🏻
These two days felt like a beautiful dream. From nervously setting up our stall to greeting every customer with a smile; from worrying whether the flavours would be accepted to hearing people say, “So authentic! So delicious!”… every moment was worth remembering.
A special thank you to Africoffee☕️— Doug at the stall next to us, for the drinks you treated me and my kids to over these two days — they were absolutely wonderful. And thank you to all the parents who brought their little ones to try our food — your support and encouragement mean so much.🙏🏻
Also, a heartfelt thanks to a lovely lady Sanja, the organiser of the Durban Upper Highway Lifestyle Market Durban Highway Lifestyle Market Thank you for giving me this opportunity to be part of such a warm market🙏🏻
Seeing you enjoy my food🧇🍢and drinks🥤truly touched my heart. And to all the fellow vendors — thank you for your kindness and willingness to help. You’ve shown me the simple, beautiful kindness between people❤️
And most importantly, to my family-my children, my husband, my parent-in-law’s help-thank you so much, all of you🙏🏻
Back in Hong Kong, I was a beautician. When I moved to South Africa, I thought I’d continue in that field… never did I imagine I’d end up sharing my hometown’s street food in a new land. This was completely unexpected.
This was never just about selling food. It was about sharing memories, and exchanging warmth. Thank you for helping us write a new chapter of our Hong Kong🇭🇰story here.
Turns out, bringing the taste of my childhood here was the right thing to do.
Thank you for giving me and my little stall an unforgettable weekend. We’ll keep working hard to bring you even more love in every bite.
Grateful, always. Exhausted… but our hearts are full.
We’ll be back soon!
