Not many people realise that propolis is one of the hive's greatest masterpieces. 🐝✨

Often called "bee glue," propolis is crafted by bees using resins gathered from trees and plants, blended with beeswax and their own enzymes to create a powerful protective barrier within the hive.

Crossways Village Market returns to Crossways Farm Village today, offering a public holiday outing for families on Youth Day.

The market runs from 09:00 to 14:00, with free entry. Visitors are encouraged to bring a warm jacket and enjoy the day under the Blue Gums.

Organisers confirmed that car spraying is no longer required, meaning visitors will not have to wait in line before entering. The update follows confirmation that the cows are vaccinated, happy and healthy.

The Youth Day market programme includes:

Lucas Rising performing live
Pony rides
Face painting
Tjoek Tjoek train rides
Socialised fur kids welcome, provided they are on a lead

The market will take place at Crossways Farm Village, Castle Ridge Drive, with access via exit 707 off the N2.

Organisers noted that all markets remain subject to weather.

NEW LAYOUT FOR 14 JUNE

We’ve made a few changes to improve the experience for visitors and vendors.

✅ Extra visitor parking has been added on Burgeus Road to help reduce congestion.

🍔 The food court has moved to the top field, creating more space for seating and better flow.

🛍️ The main arena vendors have moved to the greener side of the arena, providing a more comfortable environment for everyone.

With over 160 vendors, great food, live music, family-friendly and dog friendly, we’re looking forward to another fantastic market day.
