As Women’s Month comes to an end, I want to celebrate the incredible women behind the scenes at KRAAK. 💚

Today, I’m shining the spotlight on these beautiful women who work alongside me and give their all to KRAAK. 🥰

They bring dedication, passion, energy and laughter to everything they do!

Today, I had the privilege of speaking at Laerskool Lorraine Primary School , a place that holds a very special place in my heart.

I once taught here, my children went to school here, and it was here that they were introduced to entrepreneurship and inspired to think differently.

Today, I had the opportunity to share some of my own entrepreneurial journey with the next generation, and hopefully give them a little knowledge, encouragement and inspiration along the way. 🥰

During Women’s Month, it was especially meaningful to encourage these young women to believe in themselves, their ideas and what they are capable of achieving. 💚

Thank you, Lorraine Primary School, for inviting me and allowing me to share a little piece of the KRAAK story.

It’s Women’s Month, and we’re still celebrating the women who inspire me. 💚

Andriette Georgiou, the owner of , has been a mentor to me since we won the nationwide RSG and Virseker Rusks Competition.

Thank you, Andriette, for sharing your knowledge and experience in starting a business, for always giving honest advice, and for believing in me. 🥰

Thank you for being such an important part of my journey and for reminding me that sometimes, having the right person in your corner can make all the difference.

I appreciate you! 💚

Some women leave a mark on your life without even realising just how deeply. 💚

For me, one of those women was Tannie Christa.

During my university years, she was not only the woman in charge of the hostel where I stayed, but also a mentor who believed in me and encouraged me to believe in myself.

She taught me skills that I still carry with me today, pushed me to learn, and showed me that I was capable of more than I thought. 🥰

Sometimes, all it takes is one woman believing in you to help you see what you are capable of.

Tannie Christa, thank you for being that woman for me. 💚

Every business has an origin story, and ours begins with my daughter. 💚

At just 15, Esté turned her granny’s recipe into a little business of her own, Esté’s Rusks.

During her matric year, she passed it on to me and Fanie. Instead of closing the chapter, we carried it forward. 🥰

Inspired by Esté and my own mother’s recipe, I created our now famous Muesli, Cranberry & White Chocolate rusks. 👩‍🍳

In 2024, I was honoured to win the RSG & Verseker’s Bakgat Rusks Competition, and Esté’s Rusks became Kraak Beskuit. 💚

So, moms, embrace the messy kitchen. You never know when a little girl’s passion might grow into something truly beautiful. 🤩
