Start your Monday off the right way!
Power Smoothie Recipe
Right, here’s a power-packed, energy-boosting smoothie to keep you going, whether you’re headed to the office or the gym. It’s full of all the good stuff, with a hint of humour – because who said a smoothie couldn’t make you smile too?
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh spinach leaves (yes, you’re basically Popeye now)
1 ripe banana, peeled and sliced (no bruised bananas, hey!)
½ cup fresh or frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries – whatever’s in the freezer or on sale)
1 tablespoon chia seeds (if you want to feel extra healthy, it’s optional)
1 tablespoon honey (also optional, but why not add a bit of sweetness to life?)
½ cup plain Greek yoghurt (the thick, creamy kind – no cheating with the sweetened stuff)
½ cup unsweetened almond milk (because we’re all about balance)
Method:
Chuck your fresh spinach leaves into a blender. It’s green, but I promise, you won’t taste it – just trust the process.
Add the banana slices. Bananas are basically the glue holding this smoothie together.
Throw in those berries. Frozen ones are perfect if you're in a rush – no need to defrost.
If you’re feeling fancy, sprinkle in the chia seeds. They’ll make you feel like you’ve got your life together.
Drizzle the honey (or don’t – no judgement here if you skip it).
Next, in goes the Greek yoghurt, thick and glorious. This is where the magic happens.
Pour in the almond milk – just enough to make it blend, but not so much that it’s soup.
Blend until smooth – or until your patience runs out. Either way, it’ll taste lekker.
Pour into a glass, sip, and feel like you’re winning at life – because you are!
