🍔 BlixSam's Pulled Pork Burger

Ingredients

- 1kg pork shoulder or pork neck
- 2 tbsp BlixSam Yanky Sauce (for mixing into the pulled pork)
- 4 burger buns
- BlixSam's Fried Caramelised Yanky Onions
- Extra BlixSam Yanky Sauce for serving

Method

1. Cook the pork low and slow until tender enough to pull apart easily with two forks.
2. Remove the pork from the cooking liquid and shred into fine strands.
3. Mix 2 tbsp Yanky Sauce through the warm pulled pork until evenly coated.
4. Lightly toast the burger buns.
5. Pile the pulled pork generously onto the buns.
6. Top with BlixSam's Fried Caramelised Yanky Onions.
7. Finish with an extra drizzle of Yanky Sauce.
8. Serve immediately.

🥣 BLIXSAM STYLE SMOKEY RIB & RED KIDNEY BEAN SOUP 🥣

Rich, hearty and packed with smoky flavour!
Made the traditional way in a steam pot, this filling soup combines tender smoked pork ribs, creamy red kidney beans and the signature flavour of BlixSam Smoke Craft and Garlic Melt spices.

Serves 8-10
🛒 Ingredients
500g dried red kidney beans
500g smoked pork ribs, cut into portions
2 onions, grated
2 potatoes, grated
2 x cans 4 Bean Mix, drained
1 tsp BlixSam Smoke Craft Spice
1 tsp BlixSam Garlic Melt Spice
Water to cover
Salt and black pepper to taste

🔥 METHOD – LAYERED THE BLIXSAM WAY

1️⃣ START THE STEAM POT
Rinse the red kidney beans well and place them in a steam pot with enough water to cover generously.
2️⃣ BUILD THE FLAVOUR BASE
Add the smoked pork ribs, grated onions and grated potatoes.
3️⃣ ADD THE SMOKEY MAGIC
Sprinkle over the Smoke Craft Spice and Garlic Melt Spice.
4️⃣ SLOW COOK
Cook in the steam pot until the red kidney beans are soft and the ribs are tender. Stir occasionally and add water if required.
5️⃣ ADD THE BEANS
Add both cans of 4 Bean Mix and continue cooking for 15-20 minutes.
6️⃣ CREATE THE BLIXSAM TEXTURE
Remove roughly half the soup and liquidise until smooth. Return it to the pot and stir through.
7️⃣ FINAL FLAVOUR CHECK
Season with salt and black pepper if needed.
8️⃣ SERVE
Serve piping hot with fresh bread, roosterkoek or toasted sandwiches.

💡 BLIXSAM TIP

Remove the meat from a few rib pieces, shred it and stir it back into the soup just before serving for an extra hearty bowl.
