How to Make Money in 2026 Using Village Chicken Farming (9 Hens + 1 C**k System)
Start Small. Grow Smart. Scale Naturally.
Village chicken farming does not require big numbers to be profitable. You can start small, manageable, and realistic — and still grow into a strong, sustainable flock.
This guide breaks down a practical system starting with just 9 hens and 1 c**k, including:
🐣A clear breeding cycle
🐣Simple home-made feeding formula
🐣Essential vaccines
🐣Locally available herbal support (like aloe vera)
This is farming as a business, not luck.
1. Starting Stock (September 2026)
🐓9 mature hens (ready to lay)
🐓1 healthy c**k
👉 Recommended ratio: 1 c**k : 7–10 hens for good fertilization.
Ensure birds are:
✅Fully vaccinated
✅Active, alert, and parasite-free
2. Breeding & Production Cycle (Simple and Repeatable)
✅Month 1: Laying
Hens lay 10–12 eggs each if well fed
Select 8 eggs per hen for hatching
Extra eggs can be sold or consumed
✅Month 2: Hatching
Incubation period: 21 days
Expect 7–8 chicks per hen if fertility is good
✅Month 3: Brooding
Hen rears chicks
At 4 weeks, chicks no longer need the mother for warmth
👉 Withdraw the hen at end of Month 3 and brood chicks separately
This forces the hen to recover and prepare for the next laying cycle.
✅Month 4: Laying Break
Hen rests and regains body condition
Month 5–7: Repeat the Cycle
Month 5: Lay
Month 6: Hatch
Month 7: Brood
👉 Each hen can safely do 2–3 cycles per year under good management.
