Job Advertisement: Farm Manager Wanted

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our integrated farm, which specializes in cattle rearing, poultry, fish farming, crop production, and horticultural gardens.

Reporting to the Director

Location: Lusaka and Mumbwa

Key Responsibilities:
1. Livestock Management: Supervise cattle and poultry production, including feeding, breeding, health monitoring, and housing.
2. Aquaculture: Oversee fish pond operations including stocking, feeding, water quality monitoring, and harvest.
3. Crop & Garden Production: Plan and manage the cultivation of seasonal and high-value crops and vegetables.
4. Farm Planning & Record Keeping: Develop and implement work plans, maintain accurate records of production, inventory, labor, and finances.
5. Team Leadership: Supervise and train farm workers, ensuring productivity and safety compliance.
6. Input & Resource Management: Monitor and control use of farm inputs, equipment, and infrastructure.
7. Reporting: Provide weekly and monthly reports on production, challenges, and proposed solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:
1. Certificate in General Agriculture a Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture/ Animal Science/ Aquaculture or related field is added advantage
2. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing a mixed farming enterprise.
3. Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
4. Knowledge of animal health, feed formulations, planting schedules, and pest/disease management.
5. Experience with farm record keeping and budgeting is a must.
6. Computer literacy and familiarity with digital farm tools is an added advantage.
7. Must have a Driver's license
8. Preferably married

Good Morning Fellow Intellectuals.

I am looking for people to partner with in the production of fish, broiler chickens and village chickens.

The farm is located in Kanchibiya District Chief Mpepo Chief and just 2km from Mpika Kasama Road.

It has 4 fishponds (sizes 50mx30m, 40mx25m x 2 fishponds and 20m x 30m x 1 fishpond) and it has a capacity of 40,000 fish when stocked at once or in intervals.

Poultry House (10m x6m) with a capacity of 600 chickens when stocked at once and a 6m x 2m extension for village chickens.

There's a 3 room house for accommodation.
