The Presidential Fisheries Programme has recorded a 20 percent growth over the past five years, with nearly 10 million fingerlings distributed to rural communities across the country. Since its launch by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in 2021, fish production under the programme has risen from 27 000 tonnes to 33 000 tonnes, reflecting a steady increase in output.
