We have about 40 cattle on our farm, the nucleus of which is a small herd of Mashona pedigree cows, we then use our pedigree Tuli bull 18-8334ZT, known on the farm as “Shiva Mthuli”, to produce our own “Tulima” cross calves. Tuli and Mashona breeds are compatible in body type and conformation, which, along with potentially substantial hybrid vigor, translates into remarkably productive and efficient cows and calves that are also uniform.
