LET’S TALK ABOUT DEEPENING YOUR BOREHOLE. 💧⬇️

Before we start taking the rods down, there is one important question we must answer:

WHY are we deepening?

The objective should not simply be to make the Borehole deeper. The goal is to increase its water-bearing capacity.

And this is where things get interesting. 👇

One of the most important factors to consider is the prolificity of the formation you intend to drill into.

Going deeper only has the potential to increase yield if the formation below your current maximum depth contains sufficient fractures, joints or water-bearing breaks through which groundwater can enter the Borehole.

If those water-bearing structures are absent, you may simply be creating a deeper underground reservoir without significantly increasing the Borehole's yield.

That is why, before committing to deepening, proper site confirmation and configuration are critical.

You need to understand what lies beneath the existing Borehole and whether the deeper formation has the potential to deliver more water.

Because when it comes to Borehole deepening, DEPTH IS NOT THE OBJECTIVE — WATER IS. 💧

At , we believe in understanding the problem before putting the rods in the ground.

DON’T JUST DRILL DEEPER. DRILL WITH PURPOSE. 🚧💧

BOREHOLE DEEPENING ❓

YES WE DO. BUT BEFORE WE DO I THINK THERE IS SOMETHING WE MUST DISCUSS

We were told this would be the 2nd attempt at recovering the pump, as others had already tried before us. 💔

Unfortunately, during those attempts, the situation became even worse. The cable and rope broke, and the pump, together with the poly pipe and its attachments, fell further down the Borehole.

What started as a stuck pump had now become a full recovery operation. And this is exactly why Borehole recovery is not simply about pulling harder. Experience, the right equipment and the right technique matter.

At , we don't just recover pumps — we recover situations that have gone wrong. ❤️‍🩹

What do you do in a scenario where pump and poly pipe have fallen in.

Yesterday on site we worked on one such borehole.

SIGNS & WONDERS 💧🔧
Today, we ran a fish-out operation on a borehole suffering from serious silting issues.
What we found was telling: the pump, its attachments and the poly pipe were all submerged in silt.
During our interview with the client, a few important details came to light:
1️⃣ The problem was not sudden or progressive. It developed quietly over time.
2️⃣ The poly pipe had been shortened several times because the pump was drawing muddy water and silt. Instead of addressing the root cause, the pipe was simply shortened to keep the pump above the silt.
3️⃣ They believed the silt would eventually settle. Unfortunately, it didn't. Eventually, the borehole had lost access to almost half of its original depth.
WHAT DO WE BELIEVE CAUSED IT?
Our assessment points to the borehole's standard casing arrangement as a major contributing factor.
Casing your borehole with a single casing may save you money on the day of drilling — but if the borehole isn't properly protected and constructed for its conditions, that saving can become a much bigger cost later.
A borehole is an investment. Protect the water source from day one.
Now, our job is to bring this borehole back to life. ❤️‍🩹💧
Our rehabilitation process will include:
✅ Hole repair
✅ Recasing
✅ Flushing
✅ Pump installation
At , we don't just treat the symptoms. We go after the problem.
💧 Your borehole may be distressed — but it may not be lost.
