Rabbit is tsuro, chicken is huku, goat is mbudzi, guinea fowl is hanga, guinea pig (although not indigenous) we call mbira! Teaching children awareness and appreciation of their cultural roots is vital in this modern age 🇿🇼

May is definitely one of our favourite months- the seasons turning, the myriad of babies getting born, the winter sunsets and crisp morning air, and both our juniors' birthdays 🥰
This May had some downs though- a stillborn calf that we had to pull out of the dam(mother); 3 heifers suffering a disease that caused two abortions; abandoned goat kid twins of which one sadly didn't make it and the other had a broken leg we made a cast for (who now lives in our lounge); less grazing for the ruminant animals and a slow start to the growth of lush green pasture to get through the cold season with tractor breakdowns and water supply issues; a shortage of milk for our regular orders; and a trio of cows that got into our veggie patch and had a wonderful feast, leaving only the onions 🥵🥵🤯
But our ups definitely outweigh our downs with piglets, goat kids, lambs, rabbit kits, chicks and ducklings all being born, hosting kids' parties and a few school groups and having wonderful people visiting and enjoying themselves! 🐷🐑🐐🐰🐣

Only 30 slots available. Includes delicious breakfast and lunch and a little something to take home!

Hey everybody! The globe has almost done full circle and it's already Easter time again! 🐣🌷
🌷🐣MooLand is hosting its Second annual Easter Family Fun Day on Saturday 4th April from 10am until 4pm 🐰 will you join us?🐣🌷
There will be engaging crafts for the kids, an Easter egg hunt, feeding and petting farm animals, photos with adorable REAL Easter bunnies 😉, our famous guinea pig race (bet on your favourite racer), sack races, and more games for kids and adults alike!
