THE NIGHT BEFORE THE CHICKS ARRIVED

It was still dark. 4:12 AM.

Juma pushed open the door to his brooding house and the warmth hit him like a hug.

Today wasn’t just another day. Today, 5000 lives were arriving.

And the first 14 days would decide if they lived, thrived, or failed.
