Feeder Upgrade Underway!

As our flock grows, so does the need to improve how we do things.

We recently upgraded our drinkers to keep the water cleaner, reduce waste, and save time on washing. Now we’ve completed another important improvement by installing PVC feeders to make feeding easier, minimise feed wastage, and ensure every bird has better access to feed.

It’s the small, practical upgrades like these that make a big difference over time. Every improvement helps us work smarter, care for our birds better, and build a more efficient poultry enterprise as we prepare for the laying season.

This journey has taught us that progress isn’t always about giant leaps—it’s about making consistent improvements, one step at a time.

10,000 Strong… What an Incredible Journey! šŸ™šŸŽ‰

Today we celebrate a milestone I never imagined would come so quickly—10,000 followers!

When I started Diaries of a Cellphone Entrepreneur, I simply wanted to share an honest journey. A journey of building a home, growing a poultry enterprise, chasing dreams from thousands of kilometres away, and proving that distance doesn’t have to stop progress.

Along the way, we’ve celebrated milestones, learned from setbacks, shared ideas, and inspired one another. Every comment, every share, every piece of advice, and every word of encouragement has helped shape this community into something truly special.

To each and every one of you—thank you for believing in the vision. Thank you for choosing to be part of this journey.

This page has never been just about bricks, timber, roofing, or chickens. It’s about hope, perseverance, and the belief that ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things through consistency, hard work, and faith.

We’re only getting started. There is so much more to build, so much more to learn, and many more stories to tell.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being one of the 10,000. Let’s keep growing together.

Here’s to the next milestone! ā¤ļøšŸ™

Small Upgrade. Big Impact.

It’s been all hands on deck at our rural home lately. Every day brings another task, another improvement, and another step towards building a more efficient farm.

Today’s focus was upgrading our drinker system. Clean, reliable water is one of the simplest but most important investments you can make in your flock. These small improvements might not be the most glamorous, but they make a big difference to the birds’ health and to the smooth running of the farm.

Progress isn’t always about the big milestones—it’s also about getting the little things right.

Five months later… we finally met.

After five months of cellphone farming, today was the day I finally met the chickens in person.

It felt strange at first. These were birds I’d spent months worrying about, planning for, paying for, and checking on through endless phone calls, photos, and videos. Yet we’d never actually met.

Five months later… we finally met.

Walking into the poultry house brought a mix of excitement, relief, gratitude, and quiet pride. Seeing them healthy and thriving made every call, every challenge, and every decision from a distance feel worthwhile.

This wasn’t just my first meeting with the flock—it was a reminder that faith, consistency, and trusting the right people can turn something you’ve only seen on a screen into something real.

Some moments don’t need words. You just stand there, smile, and thank God for how far you’ve come.

From cellphone farming… to finally meeting the flock. What a feeling.

Tile by Tile, We’re Getting There.

One by one, the roofing tiles are going on… and just like that, the vision is becoming reality.

There were days when this house existed only on paper. Then came the foundation, the walls, the timber, and now we’re watching the roof come together.

Every stage has tested our patience, our budget, and our determination. But moments like these remind us exactly why we started.

This isn’t just a roof—it’s the beginning of a place that will one day be filled with laughter, family, and countless memories.

The journey continues. Thank you for walking it with us. ā¤ļø

From Timber to Tiles… The Journey Continues.

The roofing timber has done its job. Now it’s time for the next chapter.

The tiles have finally arrived, and seeing them on site makes everything feel even more real. Every delivery brings us one step closer to turning this into a home.

One milestone at a time.

Day 4: The roof doesn’t just cover a house—it tells a story.

Every timber lifted into place represents months of planning, saving, sacrifices, and faith that one day this vision would become reality.

Seeing the roof take shape is a reminder that dreams aren’t built overnight. They’re built one decision, one challenge, and one day at a time.

On to the next milestone.

Day 3: It’s starting to look like a home.

The vision is becoming reality. Three days ago, this was just a brick structure. Today, every truss and every beam is bringing us one step closer to a home that will shelter family, dreams, and generations to come.

Building isn’t easy. It demands patience, planning, and perseverance. But moments like these remind you why you started.

One timber at a time. One day at a time. One step closer.

Day 2: The Skeleton of the Roof Comes to Life.

Every truss lifted into place is another step closer to a home that will stand for generations. It’s amazing how hundreds of individual pieces come together with precision to create one strong structure.

The finished roof always gets the applause, but it’s this stage that determines its strength.

One day at a time. One truss at a time. Progress continues.

28/06/2026

Day 1: The roofing begins.

We’re finally watching years of hope and hard work take shape, one timber at a time.

One day, this roof will shelter a lifetime of memories. Today, it starts with skilled hands, quality timber, and another step closer to home.
