: In RO systems, warmer water can mean more flow, but not always better rejection.

As feedwater temperature increases, RO permeate flow can rise by around ~3% for every 1°C. But here is the part many overlook: salt passage can also increase by around ~6% for every 1°C, almost double the rate.

That means higher output can come with higher dissolved salt passage if the system is not properly designed, monitored, and adjusted.
