Next in the Royal Brackla range — the 21 Year Old. 🥃

Finished across three sherry casks: Oloroso, Palo Cortado and Pedro Ximénez. Thick toffee, ripe figs, stewed summer fruit, cinnamon and muscovado sugar.

Three sherries, one whisky. This is the Malt Master showing off.

Continuing with the new Royal Brackla bottles — this time the 18 Year Old, finished in Palo Cortado casks. 🥃
Spiced biscuits and vanilla cream, soft peaches and plums, a little bitter chocolate underneath.
Palo Cortado is the rarest sherry of the lot — a happy accident in the cellar that nobody can plan for.

We’ve reached the World Cup final! Two teams remaining, one trophy at stake. So we’re doing one drink, two ways.

Sangria came out of Spain; Clericó is what Argentina did when they made it their own.

Argentina’s is white, light, fizzy — peach, apple, orange, topped with something sparkling. Spain’s is the drink you know — red wine, vermouth instead of the usual brandy, an olive where a cocktail garnish should be.

May the best drink win.
