Our vineyards, from Luján de Cuyo to Calingasta, rest on an unparalleled geological foundation.

Alluvial soils predominate, created by millennia of drag from the Andes Mountains, with a high presence of boulders and stones.

These lean soils, which offer excellent drainage and are often calcareous, force the vine to deepen its roots in search of nutrients.

This effort translates into grapes of the highest concentration, lending the Mendoza Vineyards wines a body and character that are the seal of the high mountains and are not found anywhere else in the world.

Today we’re introducing the winemaker behind Mendoza Vineyards: Richard Bonvin.

His passion was born among the vineyards of Switzerland, when he made his first wine with his uncle at just 14 years old. But it was his adventurous spirit that brought him to Mendoza in 2004, driven by the goal of expressing the local terroir through truly unique wines.

Richard, a Swiss winemaker, interprets the soil with the precision of his training and the warmth that comes from 21 years dedicated to this land. His motivation is simple: to show that Malbec, and the legacy of Mendoza Vineyards, carries history and quality worthy of the global premium segment.
