South America Land and Cattle Company Established in 1916, by George 'Tex' Rickard, the famous boxing promoter, entertainer, and founder of the NY Rangers and Madison Square Gardens.

Our company was founded in February 1916, by George Lewis "Tex" Prickard, a famous boxing promoter, founder of the New York Rangers National Hockey League (NHL) franchise, and builder of the third incarnation of Madison Square Garden in New York City. He was the promoter of Jack Dempsey (Heavyweight Champion, 1919–1926). In 1910, he traveled to various Latin American countries and speculated in th

e beef market with his young company the South America Land and Cattle Company. Our company handled over 50,000 beef cattle in Paraguay and Argentina on 468,000 acres of natural pasture of which was used to feed Allied troops in World War I.
