Zane and Mindy met by chance in the Netherlands in 2013, and they have not stopped adventuring since. After years of eating and drinking their way around the world, the two married, founded International Running Company, and created and sold a retail brand. And in March of 2020, quarantined in Florida, the pair leapt wholly into a new journey: Vinuv. To a couple of adventurers, Covid meant that tr
aveling the world would have to take place around the dinner table. As Zane, Mindy and their tiny circle of quarantine friends entertained themselves with increasingly creative dinners, they decided to finally educate themselves about the wine they loved. They began blind tastings of different varietals and origins, and before long, had a crazy idea: to have their own vineyard. The pair scoured the internet until eventually they found it: a small vineyard in Uco Valley, Argentina, that had been producing high-quality wines for a decade, along with a professional farming crew, world-class winemakers, and modern winery- all on site. Within six months, Zane and Mindy went from an everyday wine-loving couple to owning a vineyard. And they wasted no time in building a community of adventurers to help them decide what Vinuv would become, rallying hundreds of friends and family members by inviting them to be a part of the journey. Which values resonate? Where do Argentina’s penguins fit in? They went straight to their community to find out. The result: a wine brand that does not only make world-class wines, using organic farming methods and clean winemaking practices — but one that embodies the very adventure that brought it to life in the first place. For years, Zane and Mindy traveled the world perfecting one aspect of the wine business: drinking wine. In 2020, they dove head-first into a dream, opened the doors for their community to experience the thrill and wonder of adventure — and Vinuv was born. We are here to take wine drinkers on an all-access journey and share the luxury of boutique, limited-production wines with drinkers of all backgrounds and budgets.
