Es un microclima ideal para la lenta maduración de los frutos, con una amplitud térmica entre el día y la noche que permite alcanzar la mejor expresión del vino.

Finca SOPHENIA is an argentine winery recognized as one of the top quality wine producers from Argentina.Roberto Luka, of Finca Sophenia, holds a recognized background in the wine world. He was Managing Director of one of the main wine exporter companies of his country and President of Wines of Argentina. In 1997, he founded Finca Sophenia together with Gustavo Benvenuto. He named it this way after the names of their daughters: Sophia and Eugenia. The land selected to plant in 1997, is located at the slopes of the Andes mountains in the famous district of Tupungato, Mendoza, where the best quality wines are made. At an elevation of 1200 meters (4000 feet) the terroir benefits from the cooler climate, abundant sun, and sharp contrast between day and night temperature, delivering the highest quality from Argentina.

Hay historias que la naturaleza decide escribir por sí misma. Sophenia Antisynthesis Field Blend no nace de un corte en bodega, sino desde el corazón mismo del viñedo en Gualtallary. En la Parcela 12, un antiguo injerto de Malbec sobre Cabernet Sauvignon dio origen a un patrón único donde ambos varietales conviven en la misma parcela, y en algunos casos en la misma planta. .
Esta singularidad exige cosechar y fermentar ambas uvas juntas, en un punto exacto de madurez. El resultado es un vino vibrante de color violáceo profundo, donde la expresión frutal, las flores frescas y la jugosidad del Malbec se entrelazan con la tensión, los matices especiados y la estructura del Cabernet Sauvignon. Todo enmarcado por la frescura mineral y la elegancia característica del terroir de altura del Valle de Uco.
Un fiel reflejo de que el mejor blend es el que diseña el propio entorno.

There are stories that nature decides to write on its own. Sophenia Antisynthesis Field Blend isn't born from a blend in the winery, but from the very heart of the vineyard in Gualtallary. In Parcel 12, an old Malbec graft onto Cabernet Sauvignon gave rise to a unique pattern where both varietals coexist in the same plot and, in some cases, on the very same vine.
This uniqueness requires harvesting and fermenting both grapes together, at an exact point of ripeness. The result? A vibrant wine with a deep violet hue, where the fresh floral notes, fruit expression, and juiciness of Malbec intertwine with the tension, spicy nuances, and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. All framed by the mineral freshness and elegance characteristic of the high-altitude terroir of the Uco Valley.
A true reflection that the best blend is the one designed by nature itself.

Para Mauricio Giuliani, el amor por la vitivinicultura no se aprende de un día para otro: se respira desde la infancia en Tupungato, donde dar los primeros pasos significó entender la finca como un hogar y el esfuerzo familiar como un estilo de vida.
Con los años, esa sabiduría aprendida a pie de hilera se transformó en una vocación consciente. Mauricio interpreta el viñedo como un ecosistema vivo, donde la innovación y el respeto absoluto por los recursos naturales van de la mano.

For Mauricio Giuliani, a love for winemaking isn’t learned overnight: it has been breathed in since childhood in Tupungato, where taking his first steps meant understanding the vineyard as a home and the family's hard work as a way of life.

Inconsciente Criolla. Una cepa histórica en su versión más pura.
En esta línea de vinos con fermentación y crianza en huevos de concreto conectamos con la esencia del terroir, respetando la tipicidad de cada cepa sin interferencias. Y en esta Criolla encontramos una expresión diferente: ligereza, frescura y una fruta tan directa que no pide explicación. Seis meses en ese material neutro para que el terroir hable sin intermediarios.
En la copa, frambuesas frescas, fresa y un toque terroso que recuerda de dónde viene. En boca, suave, jugoso y fácil de querer.

Inconsciente Criolla. A historic variety in its purest expression.
In this range of wines fermented and aged in concrete eggs, we connect with the very essence of terroir, respecting the typicity of each variety without interference. And in this Criolla we found something different: lightness, freshness and a fruit so direct it needs no explanation. Six months in that neutral vessel so that the terroir speaks without intermediaries.
In the glass, fresh raspberries, strawberry and an earthy touch that recalls where it comes from. On the palate, gentle, juicy and immediately likeable.

Sofía y Eugenia se conocen desde el jardín de infantes. Crecieron juntas, y sus familias, unidas por ese lazo, decidieron soñar en conjunto y dar vida a esta bodega. En honor a esa amistad que fue el origen de todo, el nombre de la bodega es la combinación de sus dos nombres.
Los mismos valores que sostienen una amistad de toda la vida: la confianza, el compromiso, el cuidado por lo que se construye juntos, son los que guían cada vino que hacemos.
En el Día del Amigo, brindamos por los que están desde el principio. Por los que hacen que el camino valga la pena.

Sofía and Eugenia have known each other since kindergarten. They grew up together, and their families, bound by that friendship, chose to dream as one and bring this winery to life. In honour of that bond, the origin of everything, the name of the winery is a combination of their two names.
The values that sustain a lifelong friendship: trust, commitment, and care for what is built together, are the very same ones that guide every wine we make.

Nuestro Sophenia Estate Reserva Malbec nace de esa tierra y se toma su tiempo: 12 meses en roble que suman notas de violeta, cedro y vainilla sin opacar lo que la finca tiene para decir.

Finca Sophenia lleva en su nombre una historia de amor paterno. Dos socios, dos padres, que eligieron honrar a sus hijas dándole nombre a su sueño: Sofia y Eugenia.
Hoy Eugenia es parte del equipo, y lo que empezó como un homenaje se convirtió en algo más grande: una bodega donde ser padre, y todo lo que eso significa, está presente desde el origen.
En el Día del Padre, brindamos por los que siembran con amor y tienen la suerte de ver crecer lo que plantaron.
