What a lovely experience it was to join Paint on Wine by and .life and get to play with aroma and flavour to make my own vermouth.

My recipe contained palo santo, vetiver, labdanum and katsuobushi, ingredients I never imagined would ever turn into liquids, outside of perfumery. Read more about the workshop in the slides above.

For a while, I had lost my passion of creating new flavours and designing a menu. I realised my creativity and passion for cooking are directly related to my mental health. I'm so excited to.have found that drive again and to create, design, imagine ingredient pairings and serve new dishes at my table! 🩷

Little photo collection of CDMX food from the past few days (that does not include street tacos because a crawl is about to happen so I will have so much more insight once it's done!). But little confession - I killed my phone while snorkeling in Panama and part of me is happy that happened. Because I started using my mirrorless camera more often and have been having so much fun with it. So yes, whoever joined me on this trip for a meal or a few days has seen a lot of what captured in the first picture. 

As for the rest, a pretty stunning lineup of delicious food: 

- (best octo-taco I've had in a restaurant and a banging Nayarit ceviche tostada were my favourites)

- (special hat tip to the vanilla and chile morita prawns and the chocolate tamal)

- (although sweet af, the mamey berliner - omg)

- (love everything about that place, especially the humour in their menu. The tacos were delicious, although guys, where did you lose the corn tortillas on the way? I find wheat tortilla tacos disturbing - but okok, still like you guys, may just need to go to México, London, Vancouver, or Manila to see if that's where the corn tortillas went missing 😉)
