Autumn impressions. Beautiful walnuts this year from our tree in the garden.

A chicken escaped, but we caught it and brought it back home 🐔

Compost for our Grüner Veltliner, which suffered a lot from this year‘s drought and heat.

Rain. Not much, but we are grateful for every bit. Let‘s hope we can all motivate more and more farmers to seed cover crops or simply keep their soils covered, so that the rain actually comes to the ground.

September 15th: Last vineyard, last grapes of the year, and last ride with our oldtimer to bring the grapes home. It is a tradition to decorate the last trailer and go through town so EVERYONE knows we‘re finished 😍

This is us: Stefanie & Georg.

Some (fun) facts about us:

We are siblings & business partners. When we were kids, we dreamed of being grown-ups. We called ourselves „John & Manni“, we spoke our version of English, played office and mixed potions out of dirt. Today we still play, but we’re lucky to call it work. We love our family. We have a great older sister who helped us build our dream.

We appreciate working with nature, growing vines, drinking honest w**es, sharing good food.
We also love to laugh, tell unfunny jokes (we got this from our father Helmuth) and have fun.

Feeling the abundance of it all.

We have lost track of time, a typical thing to happen after so many days of picking, pressing, baking bread, emptying tanks, filling them again with fresh grapes, measuring, tasting.

We are still playing the harvest game. Time to post is pretty rare 😘

The last days of harvest in pictures. Our wonderful helping hand Jeanie Taylor arrived and jumped straight into picking and processing. came down from Vienna to help for a couple of days - what a beautiful soul!

Our aunts came to help us as an annual tradition - that is what a family w**ery is for!
Jacob tasted as often as he could 😍
Last but not least: We shared our first Gin & juice with freshly pressed Pinot Noir.

Almost halftime of picking - many more days to come. We cannot wait!
