We have had an amazing time with .tbilisi and the last 2 weeks in Austria! Georgian supras all over Austria from in Styria to at the Arlberg region, finishing off in Vienna showing beautiful food and wine. A lot of smiling faces and overwhelmed guests.

Beautiful to do a masterclass with some of the best wines of Styria with the professionals of Cape Town gastronomy whom normally don’t have access to our wines!

This year in May we had the rare opportunity to organise a very special tasting with the Lysegrøn wines from Franz Strohmeier! We tasted 11 vintages from No.01 (2012) to No.11 (2023). As most people around me know I love to taste bottles which are open for a while to gain more knowledge about aging of non-added Sulfite wines. Today after 6 months I got the open bottles from my cellar to taste them again. Todays experience blew my mind! Not that the wines are not oxidised or death, but after being UNCORKED FOR 6 MONTHS!!! they are still shining bright like stars. Franz it’s about time people find out what your wines are capable off and how good they really are! Chapeau and thank you for all the beautiful moments with your wines and the human beings around them!

Tasting with the beautiful zero-intervention wines from Schnabel -Ermihof. One of the first natural wine makers in Styria working without pesticides and a zero tolerance for additives in wine.

Join is on Tuesday the 12th of August for another great tasting session at Café Kandl with the wines of Roland Tauss. Biodynamic farmed grapes on Opok soils (Calcareous Marl). Roland produces beautiful wines from a large variety of grapes close to Leutschach in Southern Styria. Join us next Tuesday for this great opportunity to experience the full range of his wines in the Kandlgasse in Vienna. The tasting will be on from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
