When Charles moved to Vienna in 2020, he found the inspiration he needed to rekindle his fascination with spirits d

evelopment. Two years later, he launched his first 1500 bottles of the Contemporary Dry Gin, marking the beginning of a commitment to make unique spirits. In addition to creating gin, this brand explores new ways to make spirits. We value the process over the final product, with a focus on the creative journey.

Welcome to a new series: Will It Cola? One Sichuan Bitter, tested against every cola I can get my hands on.

The rules are simple: 3cl Sichuan Bitter, 10cl cola, a squeeze of lime. No other adjustments.

For Episode 1, I went to Billa and picked up five: Coca Cola, Pepsi, Fentimans, Fritz-Kola, and — because why not — Red Bull Cola.

To keep things honest, I brought in an independent taste tester: .ding
