A Journey into the World of Taiwanese Tea

Have our reports from our tea trips to Taiwan sparked your desire to experience this fascinating world for yourself? Imagine immersing yourself in Taiwan’s lush landscapes, exploring tea gardens rooted in traditional and sustainable practices, discovering the craftsmanship behind tea production, and experiencing the rich tea culture and aesthetics of traditional teahouses.
The time has finally come! We are delighted to announce our Taiwan Tea Trip, an invitation to join us on a journey to the beautiful island where some of the world’s finest teas are born. Together, we will explore the origins of Taiwanese tea, meet the people behind it, and deepen our appreciation of tea through authentic, hands-on experiences.
Date: 4–13 May 2027 (actual time in Taiwanese, excluding the travel time to Taiwan, e.g. the flight) Duration: 10 days
Participants: 8 to 10 persons
What awaits you?
* Tea gardens and tea farmers – Visit beautiful tea gardens and meet tea farmers for personal conversations about their work, their philosophy, and their passion for tea.
* The art of tea making – Discover the knowledge, traditions, and craftsmanship behind Taiwanese tea, with hands-on experience in the tea production process and make your own tea.
* Tea houses and tea culture – Enjoy tea tastings, experience traditional tea ceremonies, and immerse yourself in the aesthetics and spirit of Taiwanese tea culture.
* Ceramics and craftsmanship – Explore the art of ceramics and create your own tea vessel to take home as a personal memento of the journey.

A beautiful Zen tea ceremony marked the closing celebration of our exhibition „at ease“. The serene and heartfelt tea experience shared with us by will remain in our memories and hearts. We are deeply grateful. 🍵

Day 2 at the Vienna Tea Festival 🍃
In the Workshop „The Wild Tea Journey“ we opened the morning with a bowl tea meditation, working with the Five-Element Wild White Tea to harmonise body and mind before journeying into the world of Taiwanese Wild Tea crafted by .
Through the High Mountain Oolong, Dried Floral Oolong, and Seed-Grown Black Tea, we discovered different expressions of the same profound connection between nature and human craftsmanship. Each tea revealed its own character, shaped by the land, the way it grows, and the hands that carefully transform it.
As the day unfolded, tea continued to accompany us, offering warmth, clarity, and a quiet natural energy that stayed with us until the very end.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Team, the VOLUNTEAs and to all the dedicated members of the Wiener Teeverein. Your passion, care, and countless hours of work made this two-day beautiful gathering possible.
Here’s to tea, nature, tradition, and the people who bring them together. 🍵✨

What a beautiful first day at the Vienna Tea Festival! 🍵✨ Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a cup, a conversation, or simply a quiet moment with us. And a very special thank you to for creating such a beautiful and peaceful tea space in the lounge for our Zen Tea Ceremony. 🍃New Arrival — Natural Farmed White Tea, Northern Thailand

Crafted in 2023 from naturally farmed tea leaves in Northern Thailand, this white tea has developed beautifully over time. With age, its character has become increasingly rounded and harmonious, revealing layers of fruity and creamy sweetness, a silky texture, and a remarkably long, lingering finish.

The tea produces a beautiful golden liquor, with a delicate rim of fine bubbles appearing on the surface. This charming characteristic is often associated with the tea’s natural sweetness.

Gentle yet expressive, this tea is wonderfully versatile and can be enjoyed throughout the year. Brew it lightly for a refreshing and elegant cup, or with greater depth for a richer, more comforting experience.

✨ AT EASE ✨ Tea Ware & Jewelry Solo Exhibition by Chen Yu-Chieh We are delighted to announce our upcoming exhibition featuring Taiwanese tea ware and jewelry designer Chen Yu-Chieh. Drawing inspiration from Chinese tradition and contemporary aesthetics, Chen brings together diverse forms, materials, and techniques in works that express a beautiful balance between tranquility and liveliness. A recurring motif throughout the exhibition is the small bird. Delicate and full of movement, these little figures seem to fly freely through the richly atmospheric world of Chen’s artistic universe—bringing a sense of lightness, freedom, and vitality to her works. A Zen Buddhist volunteer at Dharma Drum Mountain in Taiwan, Chen sees tea as an integral part of her artistic practice. During the exhibition, and especially at the Vernissage, Yu-Chieh will perform Zen Tea Ceremonies and share tea with visitors, creating a space for encounter, contemplation, and connection. 🌿 EVENTS Zen Tea Ceremony Friday, 9 October 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm Vernissage Saturday, 10 October 6:30–9:00 pm with Zen Tea Ceremony & tea sharing by Chen Yu-Chieh 📍 JADETEE & KERAMIK Berggasse 14, 1090 Vienna EXHIBITION 9–19 October 2026 We warmly invite you to discover At Ease and experience this special encounter between tea, art, material, and mindful presence. We look forward to welcoming you. 🍵

🍃 An evening with
Some evenings are not simply about drinking tea. They are about entering a different world.
Back in Taichung after his journey through Europe, Tea Master Cho welcomed us with an extraordinary sequence of teas and tea creations. Each cup opened another dimension of flavor, aroma and sensation.
From the delicate complexity of Wild Oriental Beauty and Bao Zhong, to the depth of High Mountain GABA Oolong and the earthy character of Brown Tea, every tea seemed to tell its own story.
And then came Cho’s experiments: Shikuwasha Cold Brew Bullet Tea, a refreshing Cold Brew Cocktail, and finally tea made from coffee bean husks and coffee leaves.
With every infusion, we were invited to slow down, taste more carefully and discover what the tea might reveal.
It was an evening of flavors, aromas and sensations – but also of connection, curiosity and well-being.
A reminder that tea can be much more than a beverage.🌿🍵
