Australian w**e exports have seen contrasting performance across key markets. Against an overall decline in the past year, exports to Southeast Asia and Canada have shown strong growth, disparate to the more challenging conditions in the United States.

This Market Bulletin looks beyond the headline results to help exporters understand where opportunities are emerging, where conditions remain challenging and what trends are shaping key markets.

Over 110,000 bottles of Australian w**e were sold through the LCBO across Ontario during a Middle Nesting Table Activation in July/August.

This reflects a 17.9% increase in Year-on-Year sales of Australian w**e for the period at the LCBO, with an 82% average sales lift across participating stores.

Over 6,000 samples were distributed through an in-store tasting campaign, featuring 36 w**es, with over 1,800 bottles sold during the tastings.

This program was a partnership between W**e Australia, the LCBO and participating w**eries, and was supported by the Accessing New Markets Initiative (ANMI) to amplify the campaign across digital, social media and in-store tastings.

Happy Fiano Day!

Originating from the Campania region in southern Italy, Fiano has since made a home for itself in Australia, where it shines in Australian soil, holding onto its bright acidity with little water inputs and a higher-than-average tolerance for the heat.

Last year's Fiano Festa campaign by Mastermind Consulting and Oliver's Taranga Vineyards, which initiated Fiano Day, achieved an approximate reach of 2.7 million, with a reported 24.5k social media interactions and a 58% increase in Google searches for Fiano w**e.

Join in the celebrations and enjoy a glass of Australian Fiano this Fiano Day.

That’s a wrap on our Australia and New Zealand Trade Tasting in Europe!

We visited Antwerp, Amsterdam and Warsaw last week, showcasing 500+ w**es from 100+ w**eries across 39 regions in Australia and New Zealand. Three packed masterclasses, three buzzing trade tastings and a lively consumer tasting evening in Warsaw.

23 Australian and New Zealand w**emakers, w**ery owners and principals came over to pour their w**es and share their stories, and we welcomed 500 guests across the three cities.

Warsaw was a real highlight, with the busiest tasting of the tour, an oversubscribed masterclass (full and standing!), lots of excitement and noise in the room, and w**eries seeking distribution reporting very strong leads.
