A huge week at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026 in Bangkok.

Food South Australia was proud to coordinate the South Australian Pavilion, with support from the Department of State Development and Austrade, showcasing some of South Australia's outstanding food and beverage businesses to key decision makers from across Southeast Asia and beyond.

One message came through clearly: South East Asia wants what South Australia has to offer! There was strong interest in the premium products, trusted quality, provenance, innovation and authentic brand stories that have become synonymous with South Australia's food and beverage sector.

Food SA members Almondco, Almond Board, Beerenberg, Bickford’s Australia, Blue Lake Milling, Fuzzy Bum, Cherry Creek, Legacy Food Group, Pure Origins Australia, San Remo, The Yoghurt Shop and Thomas Foods International attracted significant interest, creating valuable new connections and opportunities across multiple markets.

A sincere thank you to Hon Chris Picton, Minister for State Development, for travelling to Southeast Asia on his first overseas mission, alongside Martin Haese, Adam Reid and Cameron Allan, whose support helped strengthen opportunities for South Australian businesses.

A special thank you to Darren Curnow, Ann-Marie Battista and the teams from Food SA, DSD and Austrade South Asia whose hard work helped make the mission a success.

THAIFEX once again reinforced the strength of South Australia's food and beverage sector and the strong demand for our products across Southeast Asia.

THAIFEX may be over, but the real opportunity is just beginning. We look forward to supporting our members as these new connections develop into long-term partnerships, export growth and commercial success.
