Bird in Hand is the proud Exclusive Wine Partner of the Sydney Swans and teams. In honour of the club’s 150th anniversary, the have released a Special Edition case of our 2016 ‘Nest Egg’ Cabernet Sauvignon.

Limited to just 150 cases, each bottle in the six-bottle collection is individually numbered and showcases a luxe label commemorating significant moments throughout the club’s rich history.

1874: Commemorates the founding of the South Melbourne Football Club.

1982: Honours the transition from South Melbourne to the Sydney Swans, a pivotal moment in the club’s history.

2005: Celebrates the Sydney Swans unforgettable 2005 Grand Final victory, ending a 72-year premiership drought.

2012: Marks the club’s triumphant 2012 Grand Final win.

2022: Celebrates the historic first Sydney Swans AFLW game.

2024: Celebrates the 150th anniversary of the club, honouring a century-and-a-half of passion, resilience and triumph.

LVN X RAES CHEF SWAP PART 2 / The second instalment of our Chef Swap with saw head to Byron Bay for a day of relaxed fine-dining amidst ocean views.

Guests enjoyed the same menu showcased at LVN in the Adelaide Hills just days earlier, featuring signature dishes from both venues. Senior Winemaker, Sarah Burvill, once again guided guests through the Bird in Hand wine pairings - which were beautifully received alongside the 14-plate dining experience.

The Bird in Hand 2022 Syrah is now on Premium Pour in the Raes Dining Room. The Tribute Series 2021 TED Chardonnay along with the Nest Egg Series 2021 Chardonnay are also listed.

LVN X RAES CHEF SWAP PART 1 / On Sunday we hosted a very special long lunch where Byron Bay's Raes met our Adelaide Hills' LVN Restaurant for a day of world-class food & wine.

Guests were treated to a menu featuring signature dishes from both restaurants, seamlessly paired with a selection of Bird in Hand wines, guided by Senior Winemaker, Sarah Burvill.

A unique fine dining experience elevated by exceptional company & conversation made it a day to remember.

‘Jacob Davey seems to have found his happy place in his executive chef role at Bird in Hand winery’s new onsite restaurant. Davey can often be spotted perusing the immaculately tended Adelaide Hills grounds and LVN’s extensive kitchen garden. Emphasis is on native Australian ingredients sourced from Peramangk and Kaurna land and waters, and the arrival of around 10 intricate dishes is at a gentle and rhythmic pace, much like the natural light shifting across statement art and subtle earthy décor.
