AH3 formed from a international drinking club with a running problem. 'Hashing' was started in Malaya after WWII as a way for bored British officers to burn off the excesses of the weekend and to bond over some nosh and drinks. It is styled after a British hunting practice where a pack of dogs (harriers) will chase a hare.
