Galette des Rois is a puffed pastry cake filled with frangipane (a filling made from almonds). A charm, called 'fève' is then hidden inside and whoever finds the charm in their piece of galette is crowned king or queen for the night!

#DidYouKnow that any food not suitable for food rescues, as well as compostable packaging, is diverted from landfill and used to grow some of the produce you purchase from our traders? We work with our waste partner Jeffries to sort and process our organic material which is then turned into commercial grade compost, soil and mulch products. These products are then used by growers and industry to provide valuable nutrients and optimal growing conditions for fruit and vegetables. Check out this video where we follow this process from the Market through to one of our growers in northern Adelaide. This is just one of the ways we achieve 98.95% diversion of our waste from landfill.
